Kelsy Gossett is a photographer and visual artist based in Kansas.
She has an Associate’s Degree in Communications from Pratt Community College where she was a newspaper staff photographer and Photography Editor covering major events such as the Miss Kansas Pageant. She is also a graduate of Hallmark Institute of Photography in Massachusetts where she studied portrait and commercial photography. And if that wasn’t enough, she is also has Bachelor’s Degree in studio art from Wichita State University.
Besides studying her love for photography and art, Kelsy has operated her own photography business in Wichita since 2006 and has been photographing professionally since 2004. Specializing in portraits and weddings, she captures special moments and unique personalities with an artistic eye.
Kelsy’s photographs have been used in multiple newspapers, magazines, ad campaigns, galleries, billboards and museums. Her client list includes several authors, small businesses, fine dining establishments, musicians, political and public figures, artists, dancers and models. She has been honored by being named Best in Wichita for Wedding Photography in 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013.
Kelsy’s images are not just the result of technical achievement, but of a unique respect and personal connection with her subjects. Her style is her own, yet still maintains the essence and personality of the subject she is photographing. The resulting images stand out as elegant, compelling and completely original.
